The prize fund is 2.55 million US Dollars.
The winner gets $1.53 million (60%) and the loser $1.02 million (40%)
In case the winner is decided by tie-break games, the winner shall receive 55% and the loser 45%.
The time control of each game for Anand – Carlsen 2013 is 120 minutes for the first 40 moves, 60 minutes for the next 20 moves and then 15 minutes for the rest of the game with an increment of 30 seconds per move starting after move 61 has been made.
FIDE President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov appointed IA Ashot Vardapetyan from Armenia as the chief arbiter of the FIDE World Championship Match Anand – Carlsen to be held on November 6-28, 2013 in Chennai, India. Vardapetyan was also the chief arbiter of the World Championship Match Anand – Gelfand (Moscow, 2012).
The accreditations of journalists / photographers will be closed on 15th October, 2013.
